Every once in a while we get fans writing us who think we are in fact an actual part of the KC Chiefs organization. We're not. We just blog about them. One person even wondered why we didn't have @kcchiefs.com email addresses, which should've been his first clue.
So, anyway, this fan writes a letter to us, and says it's for Alex Smith. Probably thinking we're with the Chiefs.
He wrote:
I would like to wish him a great season and a continued great career. I have been a 49er faithful since 1956 when my dad and I would go to Kezar Stadium in S.F. I look forward to watching the preseason game August 16. and who knows maybe we will be playing in the next Super Bowl. I will always remember the season when you were unsigned and the strike was on and you were given the playbook and organized practices and became the leader of the 49ers. Football is a business and it is hard to understand that things happen but you have always been a class act and the fans know it. The very best of luck to you and your family.
Nothing special about the letter. Just thought it was a neat take from a 49ers fan.
Also, not that it ultimately matters, but I like having players whose previous team actually misses them instead of saying good riddance.
