Kansas City Chiefs 2013 schedule: Early look at the point spreads

How many games will the Kansas City Chiefs win next season? The odds are here to answer that.

Early lines have the Kansas City Chiefs favored in just five of their 16 games in the 2013 season, according to covers.com. The Chiefs are favorites in Week 1 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Week 6 against the Oakland Raiders, Week 8 against the Cleveland Browns, Week 12 against the San Diego Chargers and Week 16 against the Indianapolis Colts.

A few observations:

1. The Chiefs are favored to win one game on the road: at Jacksonville. How bad are the Jaguars?
2. While the Chiefs are 4.5 point favorites against the Raiders at Arrowhead, the game in Oakland is a pick 'em.
3. The other pick 'em: at Tennessee.
4. Home games the Chiefs are 'dogs: Cowboys, Giants, Texans, Broncos.
5. Against Denver, home field advantage is worth 3.5 points.
