Chiefs are impressed with Tyson Jackson, who must adjust to yet another new system - KansasCity.com
Jackson, a 6-4, 296-pounder, leaped high and swatted two passes in four plays by quarterback Alex Smith. Two plays later, he crashed through the line and would have been credited with a sack if full contact were allowed in practice.

Hank Stram is No. 16 all-time coach - AFC West Blog - ESPN
"There were a lot of qualities that set Hank Stram apart from other coaches," said former Chiefs star defensive back Emmitt Thomas, now the team’s secondary coach. "His honesty. His intelligence. His sense of fairness. His caring nature. Coach Stram was the kind of a guy who knew you, your family and everybody who meant something to you. And he had a presence."

Hank Stram didn't see black or white - ESPN
As much as Stram may be best recognized as the stocky, well-dressed motivator roaming the sidelines for the Kansas City Chiefs in the late 1960s and early '70s, his best work often was done behind the scenes. Despite having a colorful image that initially intimidated young players, Stram didn't see black and white when he evaluated his personnel. He saw good and bad, strong and weak, capable and incapable. He wanted the best men for the job, regardless of their backgrounds.

Dorsey could end up being a huge bargain for the team. He was a dominant defensive lineman in college at LSU and came into the NFL with high expectations when the Kansas City Chiefs took him with the 5th pick of the 2008 draft. Dorsey was so good at the collegiate level he took home the Nagurski, Lombardi, Outland, and Lott Awards as a senior. He was seen as a player who could have a huge impact in the NFL but never lived up to expectations. Dorsey may be best suited as a 4-3 defensive tackle and could have been miscast as a 3-4 defensive end with the Chiefs.

Davied, Bogina highlight state track meet for county athletes - Pittsburg, KS - Morning Sun
What a joy to watch standout athletes like, for example, Lawrence Free State junior Alexa Harmon-Thomas (daughter of late NFL Hall of Famer and Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Derrick Thomas), who earned three gold medals (100-meter hurdles, 300 hurdles, long jump) and a silver (high jump) in Class 6A.

Chiefs History: New Stadiums and the AFL
League attendance is often a topic of conversation when determining the hold the games have on the local populace. Consequently, there is a general opinion among followers of the Kansas City Chiefs that attendance has been consistent, down through the years, since the Dallas Texans moved to Kansas City in 1963. As anyone who is facing the aging process, one’s memory is not what it used to be.
