The numbers are in for the Kansas City Chiefs: 6.5 wins. That's the over/under on your 2013 Kansas City Chiefs football team, according to the Atlantis sports book. Too high? Too low? It's May and everyone's a potential Super Bowl winner in May so of course it's too low.
Last year's over/under on win totals was eight. Yes, eight. The Chiefs, of course, went on to win just two games. Remember when everyone thought they were going to challenge for the AFC West crown, despite Peyton Manning? Fun times. Oh, hey, remember that time when the Chiefs were supposed to challenge for the division title and then Tyler Palko started meaningful games for them?
Moving on...
6.5 wins is a good number. I am not objective and clearly a KC Chiefs homer but I can respect 6.5 wins, given they're coming off a two-win season. I've been thinking that this team could finish anywhere between 7-9 wins. This win total is just a bit outside of that, but we're on the same page.
I can find six wins on this schedule, starting with Week 1. Can you?
