The Kansas City Chiefs best and worst draft picks from 2008-2010

The Kansas City Chiefs had 12 picks in the 2008 NFL Draft so the odds were good that they would land a couple of starts, and that's exactly what they did. Brandon Flowers and Jamaal Charles came out atop the list for the Chiefs 2008-2010 drafts.

PFF is taking a few things into account, via their post:

• Where they were drafted
• Their performance
• Their contribution (how many snaps their team got out of them)
• Other factors, such as unforeseen injuries and conditions that could not have been accounted for

It's nice to see Flowers and Charles there but the Chiefs also had three (!!) top five picks in that span. Where are they listed? Eric Berry (2010) lost an entire season with the ACL injury so that hurts him right off the bat. And if you guessed Glenn Dorsey (2008) and Tyson Jackson (2009) were lowest players listed ... you're right. They were fine players -- not great, not awful -- but PFF took into account where they were drafted, which hurts them.

There was also Jake O'Connell, who somehow stayed on the Chiefs for multiple years without making any great impact. Yet he graded out positively. "Finding his way onto the field for 509 snaps," PFF writes, "O'Connell was a better blocker and special teams player than you normally get at his spot."
