Kansas City Chiefs draft picks will hit the field soon

Free agency and the 2013 NFL Draft has come and gone. What's up next for the Chiefs this offseason?

I am slowly coming out of my draft hangover. The KC Chiefs made eight draft picks and will soon announce more undrafted free agent signings. Those players will all get together next week.

From May 9-12, the Chiefs will have their rookie minicamp. This is when we'll see the draft picks along with the undrafted free agents hitting the field. The Chiefs have yet to announce who those undrafted players are but they should at some point before the minicamp.

That's four days of rookie time. The following week, the veterans will hit the field. The Chiefs OTAs are scheduled for May 14-16, May 21-23 and May 28-31. Mandatory minicamp is on June 4-6.

The OTAs are fun because it's a little bit of football talk sprinkled into the offseason. But the mandatory minicamp is the one I'm waiting for and that's to answer one question: Will Branden Albert be there?
