The KC Chiefs continue tweaking their roster as the 2013 NFL Draft nears. Earlier on Wednesday it was the reported signing of offensive lineman Tommie Draheim, who had connections to the Green Bay Packers. Now there's this:
Chiefs are signing former Packer Frank Zombo, who reunited with KC GM John Dorsey.

Just confirmed. OLB Frank Zombo heading to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Two new players in one day. The Chiefs are staying busy.
Like 2013 NFL Draft prospect Eric Fisher, Zombo comes from Central Michigan. He was picked up by Green Bay after the 2010 NFL Draft, made the 53-man roster (which is impressive enough) and even started eight games and four sacks on the season. In the following two years, Zombo had just one start due to injuries and competition. He did start in the Super Bowl (a game I attended #humblebrag), which is pretty cool.
(H/T Doc Fluty)
The Packers did not tender him as a restricted free agent, which is interesting given Dorsey's background with the Packers.
Reactions...
Been all injuries for Zombo since rookie year. In '11, broken scapula, hyperextended knee, strained hamstring. Then the hammy again in '12.

So @bkissel7 we at least got a LB from GB right? I'm expecting a Frank Zombo breakdown now

If Zombo can stay healthy he could help fill the role that Studebaker had.

Zombo is, when healthy, a marginal pass rusher at best. Past couple seasons, he couldn't stay healthy.Don't expect much. #Chiefs

Zombo has had injury issues throughout his three year career. He's an OLB who likely will be a special teamer.
