Hello, Wildcat fans! The KC Chiefs have selected a Kansas State Wildcat football player -- Braden Wilson, fullback. He is a very large fullback at 6'4 and 251 pounds. He was projected as a seventh round pick / undrafted free agent. At the NFL Combine he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.78 seconds and put up 22 reps on the 225-pound bench press. He was All-Big 12 honorable mention (media) in 2012.
Fullbacks currently on the Chiefs roster include Ryan D'Imperio, Patrick DiMarco and Nate Eachus. Obviously the Chiefs won't carry all of those guys on their roster.
It looks like his Twitter account is @BradenWilson37.
The KC Chiefs have made six picks in the 2013 NFL Draft to this point. As you know, Eric Fisher was the No. 1 overall pick and will plug into the right or left side of the offensive line depending on what happens with Branden Albert. The Chiefs second round pick is gone due to the Alex Smith trade. In the third round, KC selected athletic TE Travis Kelce out of Cincinnati and Arkansas RB Knile Davis. After that it was Alabama LB Nico Johnson in the fourth round, Georgia CB Sanders Commings in the fifth round and California (PA) C Eric Kush in the sixth round.
GM John Dorsey will speak to the media at the end of the draft.
