NFL Draft grades: Kansas City Chiefs through 3 rounds

How do you grade the KC Chiefs in the 2013 NFL Draft so far? Lots of Bs.

USA TODAY Sports

YOU CAN'T GRADE A DRAFT NOW. IT TAKES THREE YEARS!!!

Watch us. We're gonna grade it anyway!

Dan Kadar of Mocking The Draft gave the Chiefs a B after the first round of the draft, their one and only selection of Central Michigan's Eric Fisher. In the second round the Chiefs picked up Cincinnati TE Travis Kelce (No. 63) and Arkansas RB Knile Davis (No. 96).

What does Dan think about the picks so far?

The Fisher pick deserves high marks. But without having a second-round pick, there's not much else to be excited about. Kelce is a sound player. Davis is the real head-scratcher. There were many who thought he may go undrafted.

Grade: B-

Davis is a classic boom-or-bust pick. It seems like this pick will go one of two ways: it will be viewed as a steal in a couple years or it will be a complete bust. Doesn't seem like much middle ground. Of course, we could be surprised....

There's not much else to be excited about ... unless you think of Alex Smith as that second round pick. Because he is. The Chiefs got a starting quarterback in the draft; not many (if any) other teams did. That's the optimism coming out of me. The pessimism is that the Chiefs could've had their pick of quarterbacks if they had held onto No. 34.

Dan graded every team's first three rounds. Check it out here.
