Chiefs-Dolphins Branden Albert trade talks on hold for now

We can take the night off from the Branden Albert trade rumor watch. Multiple reports are saying that the Chiefs and Dolphins have agreed to hold off on trade talks until AFTER the first round, which starts tonight at 7 p.m. (Arrowhead Time).

Looks like Branden Albert deal on hold. Apparently, Dolphins going to see how 1st rd goes. If deal happens told it'll be after 1st rd.

Pro Football Talk just reported the Chiefs are taking Eric Fisher No. 1 overall. Assuming that's true and the Chiefs do take Fisher (or Luke Joeckel), the Albert trade talks become even more important.

Another issue, as Werder noted: the Dolphins could still draft an offensive tackle. If Joeckel or Lane Johnson starts to slip, it's possible the Dolphins move up from No. 12 and try to pick him. If that happens, the Chiefs are probably out of luck. On the other side, the Dolphins may become more desperate to land Albert if they can't find a tackle in the first round.

Interesting gamble going on here by both sides. It will pay off for someone. Who?
