The Branden Albert trade rumors continue. As noted earlier, the Kansas City Chiefs are seeking a "high second round pick" for Albert, according to Peter King. This is the second report detailing what the Chiefs are seeking for Albert in a trade. Previously it was reported the Chiefs are looking for a second round pick in 2013 in addition to a pick in 2014. The latest report includes just the second round pick.
We know the ramifications of possibly trading Albert. Doing so would all be guarantee the Chiefs are selecting Luke Joeckel or Eric Fisher with the No. 1 pick in the 2013 NFL Draft. Hanging onto Albert for another year doesn't mean the Chiefs would avoid Joeckel or Fisher. In fact, some smart people the Chiefs are taking one of those two players either way.
The Chiefs do not have a second round pick right now due to the Alex Smith trade. Surely the Chiefs would love to recoup that pick.
So that's what we know right now. It's time for you to weigh in.
Would you trade Albert if the Chiefs were able to net a second round pick?
Vote in the poll.
