Kansas City Chiefs free agents 2013: The full list, as it stands now

A few weeks ago we listed out all the Kansas City Chiefs 2013 free agents. Now that a few moves have been made -- like Dwayne Bowe and Dustin Colquitt signing and Branden Albert getting the tag -- and with the legal tampering period coming up on Friday night, it's time to take another look at that list. This list of free agents is different from the veterans with existing contracts we could see released (like Matt Cassel). Free agency starts at 3:00 p.m. (Arrowhead Time) on Tuesday.

Glenn Dorsey: The Chiefs reportedly want Dorsey back. It's unclear if they'll be able to do so before Tuesday, which is the official start of free agency. Dorsey would fill one of the defensive end spots. If he leaves, the Chiefs will need to find a new starter.

Brady Quinn: He's likely on his way out. The Jets were said to be interested. Oddly enough, the Chiefs need a backup quarterback. And Brady will end up as one of the higher-ranked available backup quarterbacks on the market. So.

Peyton Hillis: Haven't heard anything out of him either. I would be surprised if he came back. Maybe more Cyrus Gray?

Travis Daniels: He's a photographer now. He came here with the Pioli / Haley regime. I could see the Chiefs going younger here.

Shaun Smith: Haven't heard anything on him. The Chiefs haven't been in contact as far as I know.

Ryan Lilja: He's retired.

Ropati Pitoitua: He could factor in depending on what happens with Dorsey. The Chiefs could use more depth at defensive end. If he does leave, however, his replacement will likely have a much easier name to spell.

Martin Rucker: Oops. I had him listed as a restricted free agent last time we did this. He's played so many partial seasons with so many teams it's hard to get this one right but he is unrestricted, according to Adam Teicher. (I get one of these wrong every year while figuring out the free agents and every year I blame Chris.)

Abe Elam: I've wondered about him. The Chiefs could use another safety option. Kendrick Lewis's health is a concern at times.

Thomas Gafford: The end of a longsnapping era.

Russ Hochstein: You can always use interior line depth. Unless you get it in the draft.

Edgar Jones: Everyone can use good special teamers.

Jake O'Connell: He has spent four years on the Chiefs roster. I find that amazing.

Brandon Siler: Is he in play for a depth spot at linebacker and some special teams?

Leon Williams: Haven't heard a thing.

Chiefs restricted free agents

Kyle McCarthy: He was on IR last year.

Chiefs exclusive rights free agents

Steve Maneri: Worth keeping around since it'll be cheap.

Bryan Mattison: Same.
