NFL free agency grades: Chiefs are active, but how have they done?

The Kansas City Chiefs have been in free agency for a full week now, signing a number of players as one of the league's most active teams in free agency. How have they done so far?

Kevin C. Cox

The Kansas City Chiefs have been busy this offseason, releasing players like Steve Breaston, Kevin Boss and Eric Winston. But they've been even busier since free agency started last Tuesday. A quick recap of what the Chiefs have done in the last week...

Trade: Alex Smith

Signed: Dunta Robinson, Sean Smith, Anthony Fasano, Chase Daniel, Mike DeVito, Donnie Avery, Geoff Schwartz

Re-signed: Thomas Gafford, Bryan Mattison

Released: Matt Cassel

They lost Glenn Dorsey, who signed with the San Francisco 49ers. Steve Maneri is not coming back either.

That's a lot of moves. The Chiefs have been one of the most active teams in free agency, which I somewhat expected given Andy Reid and John Dorsey were coming into a new team and there's always lots of turnover in situations like that. I thought they would be busy ... but not this busy.

After one day of free agency, 55 percent of our readers gave the Chiefs a B while 30 percent gave them an A.

We're a week into free agency. Grade how the Chiefs have done.
