The Kansas City Chiefs appear to be doing their due diligence on free agent defensive ends with Glenn Dorsey's future up in the air. The Chiefs worked out defensive lineman Chris Canty several weeks ago and they're now showing interest in defensive end Jason Jones, according to a report from Daniel Jeremiah of NFL Network.
I'm hearing DE Jason Jones has drawn interest from several teams, including NYG, DET, CLE and KC.

Those are 3-4 and 4-3 teams so Jones offers scheme-versatility. A quick search on Jones shows many think he's a better fit on the inside. I need to do a little more reading on Jones to figure out how he would fit in Kansas City.
It's unclear how Glenn Dorsey's future would affect the Chiefs reported interest. Dorsey and the Chiefs are said to be "working hard" towards a new deal with free agency coming on March 12 but it appears Dorsey and Jones have different skill sets so perhaps adding both is an option.
Jones, 26, was a second round pick by the Tennessee Titans in the 2008 NFL Draft. He played for the Seattle Seahawks last season and was placed on IR at the end of the year with a knee injury.
Does he interest you as a potential free agent?
