2013 NFL Draft: E.J. Manuel wants to be an Eagle or a Chief

The 2013 NFL mock drafts are sending various quarterbacks to the Kansas City Chiefs, including Geno Smith. One name not mentioned often is Florida State QB E.J. Manuel, who says he wants to play for the Chiefs or Philadelphia Eagles.

USA TODAY Sports

I read this story over at Bleeding Green Nation running down all the quotes from former Florida State QB E.J. Manuel saying he wants to play for Chip Kelly and the Philadelphia Eagles, who have the fourth overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft.

Manuel isn't stopping at connecting himself to the Eagles. He's doing the same to the Chiefs. Asked an EA Madden party where he wants to play next year, Manuel said:

"Any team to be honest. I definitely think I would be a good fit for coach Kelly's offense, the style he had, so Philadelphia would be a great suit for myself. I would love to play for Kansas City as well. I know they have the first pick. Andy Reid, the head coach there now, I know he has brought up a lot of great quarterbacks like Donovan McNabb. Whoever I get chosen by, I would love to play for them."

Manuel told 610 Sports' Danny Parkins that he didn't talk to the Chiefs at the Senior Bowl but hopes to at the Combine. Listen to that interview here.

All that said, I really want to find the player who doesn't want to get drafted by the Chiefs.
