The San Francisco 49ers will meet the Baltimore Ravens in the 2013 Super Bowl in New Orleans, Louisiana at 5:30 p.m. (Arrowhead Time) this evening. The odds have the 49ers as 3.5 point favorites. The 49ers beat the Atlanta Falcons in the NFC Championship to get here and the Ravens knocked off the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship game.
Super Bowl coverage increases every year. There are always more people covering the game in some form or fashion than there was the year before. I suppose you can't blame media in some respects because there is a ridiculous amount of interest in the Super Bowl. On the other hand, all this time between games leads to ridiculous media segments.
More: Complete Super Bowl coverage

I think it was sometime earlier this week we moved past the point of meaningful Super Bowl coverage to the who can out-weird the other media outlet, which is where we are now.
The fact that I know Bill Nye The Science Guy is picking the Ravens is evidence enough this game needs to start ASAP.
