Will Alex Smith throw for more than 3,000 yards? There are odds on his stats

How many passing yards will Alex Smith throw for next season with the Kansas City Chiefs? How about touchdowns? Interceptions? There are odds on all of those.

Jeff Zelevansky

Bovada has come through with a series of odds on Alex Smith now that the San Francisco 49ers have traded him to the Kansas City Chiefs. Read them below and weigh in on the odds in the comments section.

Total passing yards: 3,000

The over seems like a gimme here, right? 3,000 yards doesn't seem like a lot. But look through Smith's history and you'll see that it may not be such an easy choice. Smith has thrown for over 3,000 yards one time in his career when he threw for 3,144 in 2011 with the 49ers. Still, give me the over on this one.

Total touchdown passes: 18.5

Tough one. Really tough. In his career, Smith has thrown for 18, 17, 16 and 14 touchdowns in separate seasons. The over would mean a new career high for him. With Jamaal Charles and the Chiefs run game, I'm taking the under here.

Total interceptions: 10.5

Smith doesn't throw a lot of interceptions. He never really has. In 2011, he was at five picks and last year before he was replaced he was at five picks. His career high is 12 interceptions in 2009 16 interceptions in 2006. Give me the under here.

Will Chiefs select Luke Joeckel No. 1 overall? Yes (-300, 1/3) | No (+200, 2/1)

At this point, that's a yes.
