Kansas City Chiefs make a few roster moves

The KC Chiefs this week shuffled the practice squad. Read on for details.

The Kansas City Chiefs made a number of practice squad moves on Christmas Eve (which means we're late getting to it). Three players were signed to the practice squad, one player was released and two more Chiefs practice squad players have signed contracts with other teams.

FB Toben Opurum, who went to Kansas, signed with the Houston Texans active roster. TE Jake Byrne joined the Chargers 53-man roster. That's a big deal for those players, who have been on practice squads all year long, so congrats to them.

Here's a run down of this week's practice squad moves, via the Chiefs:

Added to Chiefs practice squad: RB Eric Kettani, WR Jerrell Jackson, LB / DE Ridge Wilson

On June 10, 2013, Jackson signed with the Chicago Bears, but was released during training camp. The Houston, Texas native played collegiately at the University of Missouri where he caught 113 passes for 1,434 yards (12.7 avg.) and six touchdowns.
