The KC Chiefs made a couple of roster moves on Tuesday afternoon, according to the league.
Tight end Dominique Jones was brought up from the practice squad on December 7 with Anthony Fasano recovering from a concussion but the Chiefs have now placed him on the reserve / non-football illness list.
Jones happens to be a former member of the Colts, who the Chiefs play this weekend.
No word on what's going on with him that would place him there, but there are only two weeks left in the regular season so while his season is ending early, it's not necessarily some long-term thing. I'd be curious to hear what happened to him. He was active the last two weeks with Anthony Fasano out with a concussion, recording no stats.
The other Chiefs roster move was releasing receiver Jheranie Boyd off the practice squad. He made it less than a week in Kansas City, having initially signed on December 11 and now getting cut.
Tuesday is free agent workout day in the NFL and the Chiefs have an open roster spot. I am guessing the Chiefs have already figured out who they're going to sign to replace Jones' roster spot.
In other personnel moves this week, the Colts signed former Chiefs RB Shaun Draughn.
