Andy Reid on Jamaal Charles: 'I don't know how anybody can be more valuable'

In appreciation of Jamaal Charles and his 5-TD day against the Oakland Raiders.

Cary Edmondson-USA TODAY Sports

Jamaal Charles' line on the day:

8 rushes, 20 yards, 1 rushing TD
8 receptions, 195 yards, 4 receiving TDs

Watch the highlights here.

Andy Reid was asked after the game by Adam Teicher whether Jamaal has a shot at any postseason awards, such as offensive player of the year (since everyone is obsessed with QBs and Peyton Manning will probably win the MVP).

"He's got my vote," Reid said. "All the folks that were here today, he's probably got their vote. I don't know how many anybody can be more valuable to a team and to the success that we have had than he's had. I'm pulling for him."

Honestly, how can a player be more valuable than Charles? He's up there with any quarterback, which is hard to say in today's NFL.

I wrote last year around this time, as the Chiefs were toiling away in the worst season in franchise history, that Jamaal is greatness and I have been lucky to watch him. That's even truer today, a year later.

Below we have some fun Jamaal stats from his record-setting day against the Raiders. Drop any more you have into the comments section.
