Brandon Flowers injury: Chiefs CB heads to locker room during Chiefs-Raiders game

Brandon Flowers, the Kansas City Chiefs No. 1 cornerback, exited Sunday's game with a groin injury.

UPDATE: Flowers is back in the game.

KC Chiefs cornerback Brandon Flowers went to the locker room with a groin injury shortly before halftime in Sunday's Chiefs-Raiders game.

It's not clear exactly what happened to Flowers but CBS cameras showed him going to the locker room with the Chiefs training staff and it was later reported to be a groin injury.

The severity is unknown. The Chiefs are winning big in Oakland -- 35-17 at halftime -- so there may not be much motivation to rush Flowers back onto the field if something is wrong.

Flowers is obviously one of the most important players in the secondary. He was hurt earlier this season, a foot injury, and his absence caused the Chiefs to discover more about Marcus Cooper, who had a stretch of excellent football.

We'll update when we know more about Flowers' injury.
