Chiefs rule 3 starters out vs. Raiders, Dexter McCluster questionable

Three Chiefs have been ruled out for Sunday's game in Oakland: LT Branden Albert, TE Anthony Fasano and LB Justin Houston. Meanwhile, WR Dexter McCluster is questionable with an infection in his foot. Related: Raiders injury report

UpdateDexter McCluster has since been ruled OUT

The "big three" on the KC Chiefs injury report will NOT play on Sunday against the Oakland Raiders. That includes LT Branden Albert, TE Anthony Fasano and LB Justin Houston. There was little hope Albert would play considering he hasn't practiced all week while Fasano and Houston were limited. Houston continues to rehab his dislocated elbow suffered in Week 12 against the Chargers, an injury that was initially pegged at 2-3 weeks by reports. He made progress this week by returning to practice in limited fashion.

And then there's WR Dexter McCluster. The Chiefs old reporters today that McCluster, who was ruled questionable and did not practice on Friday, has a foot issue and the team is waiting on more information before figuring out whether he will play.

McCluster was not listed on the injury report until Thursday. Obviously the best of luck to DMC. The Chiefs obviously have some level of concern over his availability on Sunday because they re-signed WR Chad Hall on Friday.

We'll monitor the McCluster situation. I'm not too concerned over him playing this weekend; the Chiefs have multiple shots to clinch a playoff spot, perhaps before they even line up for the late game on Sunday. But I am concerned about his status for the next several weeks and the playoffs. Let's hope this isn't anything significant.
