Justin Houston did not get surgery on his dislocated elbow and could miss 2-3 weeks, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
#Chiefs LB Justin Houston won't need surgery on his dislocated elbow, per source. Sprained ligaments, torn muscles tho. May be out 2-3 weeks

This is all very fluid. As Geoff Schwartz said to me earlier in the week, different players recover differently from injuries. Houston could recover really fast from this. Or it could take longer than the doctors think. There's an unknown factor to all of this. But I did look at other NFL players who dislocated their elbow and missing 2-4 weeks seemed like the norm, so this timeline certainly fits into what we thought it could be.
We were already expecting him to miss this Sunday's Chiefs-Broncos game. If he misses three games, he would go on to miss games at Washington and at Oakland. At the moment, those look like winnable games, with or without Houston.
Meanwhile, Tamba Hali says he plans on playing this weekend and head coach Andy Reid said he has a good shot of playing. That one's still up in the air but it looks like it's shaking out so that the Chiefs will have Hali this weekend but not Houston.
