Tamba Hali was injured and carted off to the locker room in Sunday's Chiefs-Chargers game. According to the Chiefs, he is questionable to return with an ankle injury. The Chiefs LB suffered what appeared to be a right foot injury on one play when he was rushing Philip Rivers. From replays it looked like the injury came on no contact.
Update: Justin Houston also went down with an elbow injury
It's not clear exactly what happened to Tamba but after the play he tried to get up but then quickly went back to one knee. The trainers came out and tended to him for a few minutes before helping him walk off the field. The trainers then brought him to a cart on the side of the field where he was driven to the locker room.
The fact he was helped off and that it appears to be a non-contact injury is concerning to me. The Chargers former team doctor is on Twitter and he said it looked like an Achilles' injury, but that's just video speculation at this point.
Tamba Hali and Justin Houston are the Chiefs primary pass rushers. Frank Zombo replaced Tamba in the line-up.
