Texans-Chiefs Week 7 kickoff time moved back to 3:25 p.m.

The KC Chiefs game with the Houston Texans has been moved back to the rare late afternoon kickoff at Arrowhead.

The Kansas City Chiefs Week 7 game against the Houston Texans has been moved back from noon to 3:25 p.m. (Arrowhead Time). This according to the Chiefs:

I am trying to find out a little more about this but I am guessing this means that more people will see the game nationally. Interesting. I will update this post with any more that I find.

[Update: The Houston Chronicle explains the switch well: "The league said the change was made to "accommodate regional broadcast patterns," which is a fancy way of saying that Texans-Chiefs was scheduled at noon opposite the St. Louis-Carolina and Dallas-Philadelphia games on Fox. Moving the Texans-Chiefs game creates, in effect, statewide doubleheaders for the Missouri and Texas teams on Fox at noon and CBS at 3:25 p.m."]

The other late games on that Sunday: 49ers-Titans, Browns-Packers and Ravens-Steelers.

The Chiefs are currently 4-0. They are favored over the Titans this weekend and should be favored over the Raiders in Week 6. IF the Chiefs can win those games -- /knocks on wood -- they would be 6-0 heading into the showdown with Houston. That game would seemingly have Wild Card implications down the road.
