Jamaal Charles injury: KC Chiefs RB suffers knee injury, but returns to game

There's no word on specifically what's wrong but Jamaal Charles has exited the Kansas City Chiefs game against the Cleveland Browns with a knee injury. Charles went down at one point after Browns nose tackle Phil Taylor fell on his leg, which could be where the injury first occurred.

Charles has been replaced by Knile Davis, the rookie running back out of Arkansas. Davis hasn't seen much action this year because of some questions surrounding his ability to hold onto the ball.

Charles' exit is a big deal for the Chiefs, obviously. Not only does it affect the running game but also the passing game. The Chiefs are forced to throw shorter and quicker passes because Davis, the backup, isn't the pass blocker that Charles is.

At the time of his exit, Charles had 11 carries for 54 yards and three receptions for 24 yards. Charles is the Chiefs only consistent offensive threat so KC can only hope that this is not anything serious.
