The Kansas City Chiefs have been working a number of players out each week. Tuesday is NFL workout day and on this Tuesday free agent tight end Jake Ballard will be working out with the Chiefs.
Jake Ballard among those working out for the Chiefs on Tues. Could be a nice fit there

Jake Ballard has 38 receptions for 604 yards in his NFL career. He began his career as an undrafted free agent with the New York Giants in 2010. He posted his 604-yard campaign in his second year there. He tore his ACL in the Super Bowl and when the Giants waived / injured him (usually a precursor to putting them on IR), the New England Patriots claimed him. He was on their roster all of last year and then cut before the 2013 season.
Ballard is 6'6 and 275 pounds. He is 25 years old.
The Chiefs have had an interesting season at tight end. A position group that once looked deep was ravaged due to injuries early in the season. Anthony Fasano just returned this week after an injury kept him out since Week 2. Travis Kelce has been placed on IR. Sean McGrath has been seeing the bulk of the tight end snaps in Fasano's absence.
While we're here, the trade rumors with Redskins TE Fred Davis are starting. The Redskins are reportedly shopping him. So you can add him to your trade rumors, with folks already wondering if KC would be interested.
