Why Andy Reid and John Dorsey’s rebuilt Kansas City Chiefs are 6-0. | The MMQB with Peter King
And it’s an exceedingly optimistic one. Dorsey is a self-described "glass-half-full" guy—playfully antagonistic, but at his core desperately hopeful. His sister’s son, Kansas State wide receiver Curry Sexton (who still gets called "soft" by his uncle despite his accomplishments), recalls a regular-season game during the 1996 Packers’ Super Bowl season when Dorsey was so nervous he left the stadium in the second quarter and hurried to a local church to pray for three quarters. Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie, a former Packers executive, fondly remembers searching the room for Dorsey at key points in games and finding him in a corner, unable to watch from his box seat. "That’s him," McKenzie says. "An oddball."

In a statement released today, the Clemson athletic department announced that they have their sights set on breaking the Guinness World Record for Loudest Crowd Roar during the the game, which will likely decide the ACC Coastal Division and put the winner in excellent shape for a run at the BCS National Championship.
Tony Dungy: Chiefs have ‘perfect formula’ to play Denver | KC Star
During a teleconference promoting NBC’s telecast of Peyton Manning’s return to Indianapolis this Sunday night, I asked network analysts Tony Dungy, Cris Collinsworth and Rodney Harrison to peek ahead to the Broncos-Chiefs matchups. And boy, was I surprised to hear how high Dungy and Collinsworth were about the Chiefs’ chances.
About to face Texans, Chiefs safety Quintin Demps takes nothing for granted | KC Star
It was Sunday, maybe a half hour after the Chiefs’ 24-7 victory over the Raiders, and Demps had just gotten his third interception in as many games. Even as a backup, Demps had surpassed his career-high for picks in a season with 10 games remaining. But it wasn’t all that long ago that Demps was a failed draft pick in Philadelphia, where Chiefs coach Andy Reid picked him. Now 28, Demps admits he was immature as a rookie. Football, much like life, has a way of humbling you. "My favorite quote, which I wear (on a T-shirt) under my pads, is, ‘No struggle, no progress,’" Demps said after the game. "Adversity burdens you, but it can make you (better) sometimes."
Chiefs have many pass-rush options | ESPN
If you're a fan of what now seems like ancient history, the Kansas City Chiefs had 10 sacks in all of 2008. If you prefer your history more recent, the Chiefs sacked the opposing quarterback 27 times last season. Either way, it's a long way to 2013. The Chiefs lead the league in sacks with 31 and they are on a pace to break the NFL record of 72 set by the Chicago Bears in 1984.
Power Rankings: No. 2 Kansas City Chiefs | ESPN
The Kansas City Chiefs have moved past the New Orleans Saints and into second place in this week’s ESPN Power Rankings. The NFL’s only other unbeaten team, the Denver Broncos, are ahead of the Chiefs. The Chiefs and Broncos, perhaps not coincidentally, are the only teams in the top 10 that haven’t played two other teams in the top 10. Kansas City's highest-ranked opponent is Dallas at 13.
Twitter Tuesday: Talking Chiefs charm, Mizzou hope (and worry), Guinness records | KC Star
Let’s look at the rest of their schedule: This Sunday, vs. Texans: Matt Schaub is as hated in Houston as Matt Cassel was in Kansas City last year, but at least T.J. Yates threw a terrible pick-six after Schaub was hurt last week in a blowout loss to the Rams at home. Texans are a hot mess. Oct. 27, vs. Browns: Brandon Weeden lost his job, then got it back when his backup got hurt, and has thrown five interceptions against four touchdowns. The Browns are 3-3, and 0-3 in Weeden’s starts. Nov. 3, at Bills: The talented E.J. Manuel is hurt, and so is the journeyman Thad Lewis, so now the Bills have signed Matt Flynn — remember when he had that really good game once?
The 2013 K.C. Chiefs: A Great Enigma | Arrowhead Addict
I hope you’ve gotten every moment of enjoyment out of these 6 and 0 wonders as you possibly can because there doesn’t appear to be a mid-season fix for these Chiefs. Because of their offensive inadequacies, their fate is to be vanquished to the dungeon eventually but not until they pass by the throne room to have a good look at the crown first. And what is holding them back beside the Denver Broncos? Themselves: specifically, their offense.
