Where should the KC Chiefs rank in the latest NFL power rankings?
Top 10, for sure. The Chiefs at 4-0 have firmly entrenched themselves as a top 10 team. It's not easy to win four games in a row against anyone in the NFL and the Chiefs don't pick their schedule so they should be rewarded with a higher ranking.
Last week the Chiefs were ranked No. 11 in SB Nation's power rankings. The week before that it was No. 13. So they've been sitting there knocking on the door for a couple of weeks. The Week 5 power rankings will push them into the top 10.
Some might argue they should be top five. As noted, KC is one of five undefeated teams along with the New England Patriots, New Orleans Saints, Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos.
I would put the Chiefs at No. 5 in my power rankings, behind the undefeated teams. Considerations for one-loss teams to be ranked ahead of them would include the Chicago Bears, who have been really good. Outside of that, I don't see a one-loss team worthy of leaping the Chiefs.
The reason KC can stay this high is because their defense is playing like one that wants to win playoff games. You can win games and playoff games and, shoot, even the Super Bowl if you have the best defense in the NFL. That's how huge that is. As if I need to tell KC Chiefs fans that a month into the season. You already know.
So the power rankings from around the web will be coming out today. Where should the Chiefs rank?
