John Dorsey's Chiefs press conference coming today

The Kansas City Chiefs will formally introduce John Dorsey as the team's sixth general manager in franchise history at a Monday press conference. Dorsey is coming from the Green Bay Packers, where he was the director of football operations.

That's when we'll meet the Kansas City Chiefs new GM. In the first quarter of Saturday's Packers-49ers game, the Chiefs announced that Dorsey had agreed to be the team's new GM. Odd timing, no? (Maybe odder than news breaking that Brian Billick had interviewed with the Eagles ... while he was calling the Seahawks-Falcons game. Awkward.)

The Chiefs have a press conference planned and I'm very anxious to see this. No, not because the Chiefs have a new GM -- we've known this was happening for a while. But because we can finally get to know John Dorsey. He's kind of an unknown at this point. There's hardly any information on him out there. Even the KC Star's Monday morning feature quotes a few times from a story about him from 2009.

We just don't know much about the guy. According to others, though, he's a stand-up guy and well respected throughout the league. I just want to see that for myself.

Another reason why I'm looking forward to this press conference? Pictures. We don't have any pictures of John Dorsey. (These are the concerns of a Chiefs blogger.)
