Bob Sutton wasn't the only Chiefs DC candidate

Bob Sutton is the KC Chiefs defensive coordinator. That's already been announced and done with. He's the guy.

But was he the first choice?

Skimming through several recent reports makes you wonder.

First, there was the report that Andy Reid wanted to hire Monte Kiffin to run his defense. Kiffin apparently wasn't interested. He has since reached a deal with the Dallas Cowboys.

Second, and most recently, is this:

Browns HC Rob Chudzinski targeting SD's John Pagano as his defensive coordinator. KC also did, but Chargers wouldn't let him out of deal yet

Makes you wonder where Sutton falls on that list, no?
