The Kansas City Chiefs will kick off the 2012 season on Sunday with the eighth all-time meeting against the Atlanta Falcons. The Chiefs lead the all-time series 5-2 but have lost two of the last three. The Chiefs had a 22-year stretch where they didn't lose to the Falcons (...but only played four times).

The Chiefs last met in Atlanta back in 2008, a game the Falcons won 38-14.

The last time the teams met at Arrowhead came one of the biggest beat downs in recent Chiefs memory. KC crushed the Falcons 56-10 back on Oct. 24, 2004.

56 points is a lot, that's eight touchdowns. It's even crazier when you realize all eight of those touchdowns came on the ground. The Chiefs set an NFL record that day with four rushing touchdowns from two different players -- Priest Holmes and Derrick Baylock. Holmes had four in the first half and Blaylock had one in the first half and three in the second half.

For no particular reason I've pasted 10 more photos from that 2004 Falcons-Chiefs game after the jump. Priest, Dante, TG, Trent...the whole gang is back in town. Priest is a very photogenic football player.

That's Derrick Blaylock getting turned upside. It's OK. Four touchdowns made up for it.
