SB Nation's first NFL power rankings of the year are in and the Kansas City Chiefs land at No. 23. That's slightly lower than where they were before training camp -- No. 21 back then -- so they've dipped a little.

Ranking them 23rd is in line with where many others are putting them. The Chiefs have been in the high teens to low 20s for most power rankings.

What really matters with the Chiefs is how they finish in the division. Winning the division will likely be easier than becoming a consensus top 10 team. The Chargers are banged up, the Broncos are an unknown with Peyton Manning and the Raiders are the Raiders.

  • Packers are No. 1 and the Giants are No. 2
  • Broncos are No. 11
  • Chargers are No. 22
  • Raiders are No. 26
