Chiefs need to start their winning streak now

One win today, two wins tomorrow. That should be the KC Chiefs goal.

The Kansas City current position reminds me of that great line from Major League where manager Lou Brown explains how winning three games in a row is called a winning streak. The Chiefs have one game in their winning streak and they need to add another to get this thing rolling, a la the 2011 Chiefs, who started out 0-3.

Several Chiefs on Monday talked about, as Romeo Crennel would say, "singing that winning tune."

"Games like that can build momentum throughout the season," Breaston said. "Going down there to New Orleans and playing a team like the Saints and to be able to win like we did, it builds the team and brings us together just for the simple fact that we went out there and in all facets of the game, special teams, offensively and defensively, everything played a part of us winning that game. We just have to build on that and carry it over to next week, but that was a good win."

You get 24 hours to enjoy it, which means the celebration time is over. But it is important to recognize that beating the Saints in New Orleans is a big win. I don't care that they're 0-3. We know the quality of that team. That's a big win.

"Well I think any time you have a win, especially like that, in a hostile place against a good team with a lot of talent, just in the way we did it, I think you should have a lot of confidence and I think it should show what this team can do," Chiefs OT Eric Winston said. "Now it's a matter of carrying this team forward."

That's the key here. Don't let this be just one big win. Let it be the win that kickstarted a winning streak.
