Chiefs See Some Upgrades On The Injury Front

Getty Images

Before Wednesday's practice KC Chiefs head coach Romeo Crennel said Anthony Toribio, Allen Bailey and Kendrick Lewis would not practice. As it turns out, all three of those guys were actually limited in Wednesday's practice.

Toribio, Bailey, Lewis, Brandon Flowers and Jalil Brown were all limited on the official injury report for Wednesday. Previously we had the first three listed as not practicing so this is an upgrade of sorts.

Devon Wylie did not practice yesterday with a hamstring issue and Crennel indicated this morning that he's unlikely to practice today either.

Considering Toribio, Bailey and Lewis didn't practice all last week this is a nice step forward. Doesn't mean they'll be playing on Sunday -- Crennel didn't sound optimistic on them earlier in the week -- but it's the first step in getting right.

The big question, as it has been the last six weeks, is the status of Brandon Flowers. My guess is that he's once again questionable entering the weekend.
