Bad news for the KC Chiefs division rivals.
Chargers RB Ryan Mathews suffered a broken clavicle in the Chargers game against the Packers on Thursday night. He's having surgery on Friday and is expected to miss 4-6 weeks. He was done after one carry.
The Chiefs have yet to play a game but we're all too familiar with bad news on the injury front.
Mathews was one of the guys Norv Turner has been raving about this offseason, saying he looks great and expects a breakout season for him. As it stands now, it looks like he could miss one or two regular season games, and even then he may not immediately be 100 percent.
Despite the injury...
Norv Turner: "My hopes for Ryan (Mathews) have not changed. ... I still expect him to have a great year."
