For those who attended training camp on Thursday in St. Joe to catch the Kansas City Chiefs on display, it seems that a lot of red zone action was on hand for fans wanting to see some excitement. Ricky Stanzi made waves (of grain), Jon Baldwin continued to excite and Jamaal Charles took "old-school" cuts according to Josh Looney.
Some players did have to sit out, however. Shane Bannon has been shut down for a few days, and Brandon Flowers also sat out the day of practice with a foot bruise. That means fans got to see a bit more of Travis Daniels than normal, while new addition Patrick DiMarco made his Chiefs debut after being signed.
A rundown of various Chiefs camp reports can be found after the jump:
On offense, it's clear that Brian Daboll wants to dramatically improve the team's performance where it counts -- in the red zone:
Ton of red zone work today. To say the

Cassel hits Baldwin in the back corner of end zone for a td

At some point in the near future, the Chiefs will apparently play a song called "The Star Spangled Stanzi" before home games:
"Why isn't Stanzi our starting qb? We'd win the Super Bowl every year." -kid next to me at training camp. #USA#1

Stanzi to Maneri connection for a td! Nice throw, even better catch!

And another td for Stanzi! This one to Kinnie. Guys, talking about threading one!

Despite all of the praise for Stanzi, it's clear the Chiefs coaches haven't made up their mind:
Nate Eachus got some Colgate hops. Nice TD grab down the rail from Quinn

QBs coach Jim Zorn says there is no clear-cut leader in No.2 QB battle right now. Quinn/Stanzi "really duking it out."

With Dwayne Bowe's continued absence and Flowers' injury, some players are shifting around the depth chart:
Terrance copper getting some time with the ones

Jalil Brown getting a lot of 1st team reps today while Brandon Flowers rests foot

Lots of praise for the offensive line today as well, including two interior guys who rarely get the attention:
And while everyone cheers Charles, Rodney Hudson should get them too. Got downfield in a hurry as lead blocker

Asamoah looking solid today. This team definitely needs him this year.
— Lance Twidwell (@Lance_THESPOKEN) August 2, 2012#Chiefs
And perhaps the best news of the day from training camp is word that the Chiefs best offensive weapon might just be back to his ridiculously good self:
Just just saw old-School Jamaal Charles for 1st time this camp. 20yard screen score. Speed and open field cuts displayed
