The KC Chiefs have to get down to 75 players by Monday afternoon and one of the players to be getting the boot is receiver Jeremy Horne. This according to a report from Aaron Wilson of Scout.com.
Horne has had a few stints with the Chiefs, on both the active roster and practice squad. He originally joined the team as an undrafted free agent after the 2010 NFL Draft.
This is what the Chiefs receiver depth chart looks like:
WR Steve Breaston, Dexter McCluster, Josh Bellamy, Devon Wylie, Aaron Weaver, Zeke Markshausen
WR Jon Baldwin, Terrance Copper, Jamar Newsome, Jeremy Horne, Brandon Kinnie, Junior Hemingway,Dwayne Bowe
In other words, it was fairly stacked. Horne was a longshot this year.
This means that the Chiefs have started making their roster moves. Romeo Crennel said on Saturday that the Chiefs were working on finalizing the list. The Chiefs have a Monday afternoon practice so they could make all their roster moves as soon as today.
