Today is the three-week anniversary of Brandon Flowers' injury. In the KC Chiefs Tuesday night practice on July 31, Flowers left with what we thought was a minor issue.
That was three weeks ago. Now we know that it may not be just a minor issue. Flowers has yet to practice and nobody, the Chiefs included, seems to know when he'll be back.
"Well, [Flowers is] not well enough to be out there," Crennel said on Tuesday, via comments sent out by the Chiefs. "We need him out there. Like I said all along, he's trying to get out there. We're trying to do everything we can. The doctors have been looking at him to try to figure out how we can get him out there, but we haven't been able to do it yet. We'll keep working at him, and he'll keep working to try to get it done before too long."
Crennel said the Chiefs always keep an eye on the free agents but there usually isn't anyone who can help you right now, which suggests they won't be bringing anyone in to replace Flowers.
So, the three-week anniversary....what is that, a necklace? Or just a nice dinner?
