I wrote this morning that the story with Brandon Flowers this week is the same as it has been the last two-plus weeks. Flowers will try to practice but the Kansas City Chiefs aren't sure if he will be able to.
Now we have another piece of news to add to the mix. The KC Star's Adam Teicher reports Flowers left foot was in a walking boot at practice this afternoon.
Teicher also had this interesting takeaway from practice:
Can't say for certain what's going on with Flowers. But don't think they'd make him stand at practice for 2 hrs if he had broken foot

That's a good point.
The walking boot doesn't necessarily mean anything either way. Could be precautionary; could be bad. We just don't know.
The Chiefs have been honest about Flowers' situation, saying they don't know exactly what's wrong. Flowers has seen various doctors to get a better estimate on how long he'll be out. Romeo Crennel said no one knows Flowers' body than Flowers' himself.
Tomorrow marks the three-week anniversary of his injury at the Chiefs July 31 night practice in St. Joe.
