Chiefs Injury Report Includes Brandon Flowers, Cyrus Gray

The Kansas City Chiefs have announced six inactives for this evening's game against the St. Louis Rams. Those six players are: CB Brandon Flowers, RB Cyrus Gray, DB De'Quan Menzie, LB Cameron Sheffield, DL Ethan Johnson and WR Dwayne Bowe.

We all know Flowers' deal by now. He hasn't practice since July 31 with a bruised heel. The Chiefs thought he would be healthy by now. Flowers has seen various doctors in recent days to figure out what's going on. While I wish he were ready, the injury doesn't seem like a longterm thing. Let's hope not.

The Chiefs already ruled out Gray, Menzie, Sheffield and Johnson for various injuries.

Bowe won't be playing tonight as he just signed his franchise tender yesterday. The question is whether he'll play next week when the Chiefs host the Seattle Seahawks.

That inactive list means Travis Daniels and Junior Hemingway, who had both been banged up, have a shot at playing. Neither played in the Chiefs preseason opener last week.

The Rams inactives are WR Brandon Gibson, WR Charles Gilbert, WR Brandyn Harvey, S Darian Stewart, CB Bradley Fletcher, C Scott Wells, DE Jamaar Jarrett, WR Danario Alexander and DT Trevor Laws.
