Dwayne Bowe Signs His Franchise Tender

Getty Images

Confirmed: Dwayne Bowe has signed his franchise tender from the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs sent out a release announcing he has signed so this is confirmed. Bowe is officially in the fold.

We don't know yet whether he'll make the trip to St. Louis but I highly doubt he'll be playing in that game if he does make the trip. The real question is whether he'll be available for the third and fourth preseason games. The Chiefs need to get him some playing time in the preseason to prepare for the 2012 regular season.

It's also not clear whether he agreed to the original franchise tender amount -- around $9.5 million -- or if he and the Chiefs negotiated anything else into it.

But Bowe is here. Finally. Lots to talk about in the coming days but it's time to get this show on the road.

Welcome back, Dwayne Bowe.
