If you're scripting the first half of the first preseason game, however meaningless, you'd like it to look like the Kansas City Chiefs' effort against the Arizona Cardinals. The Chiefs, from the opening drive, have been dominating the Cardinals.
KC currently leads the Cardinals 17-3. Make sure you check out the FanShot section, where Clay is posting first half clips.
Matt Cassel started the game and played absolutely fantastic. Cassel was 5/6 passing for 67 yards and one touchdown pass. He led two touchdown drives.
Peyton Hillis and Jamaal Charles looked better than expected in my opinion in their limited time. Hillis especially made an impact - 4 carries for 41 yards and a touchdown catch.
The Chiefs defense is also doing a good job of pressuring the quarterback and stopping the run.
All around, a fantastic first half of Chiefs football.
