The Kansas City Chiefs preseason record in the last three years is not very good. Their all-time preseason record against the Arizona Cardinals is better.
This will be the 25th time the Chiefs and Cardinals have met in the preseason. Seems like a lot, but that's because back in the day the Cardinals used to be in St. Louis and the two teams met annually in the preseason from 1968 to 1988 before the Cards moved to Arizona.
The Chiefs own a 13-10-1 all-time preseason advantage over the Cardinals. At home, the Chiefs hold a 7-6-1 advantage. Unfortunately, KC has lost four consecutive preseason games to the Cardinals, so they're catching up.
In the all-time regular season series, the Chiefs are 8-2-1 against the Cardinals, including a 4-0-1 record at Arrowhead Stadium. In the last three regular season matchups dating back to 2002, the Chiefs are on cruise control dominating the cards by a total of 103-33.
So that's four straight preseason losses to the Cardinals but three straight regular season wins. Guess I'd rather be in the latter.
