Chiefs' Dontari Poe Is One Of Five Unsigned 1st Round Picks

Presswire
As we noted earlier today, there's a report out there that Dontari Poe and the Kansas City Chiefs are "not close" to a contract. Things can and will change but that's where we stand right now.

Yesterday we noted that Poe was one of eight unsigned first round picks. Today, he's now one of just five unsigned first round picks after three more players signed deals.
Those players are the Cleveland Browns' Trent Richardson and Brandon Weeden and Dallas Cowboys' Morris Claiborne.

The four other unsigned first rounds picks besides Poe are the Minnesota Vikings Matt Kalil, Jacksonville Jaguars' Justin Blackmon, Miami Dolphins' Ryan Tannehill and Tennessee Titans' Kendall Wright.

Overall, there are 18 players who have yet to ink deals. Those five first rounders, three second rounders, nine third rounders and one fifth rounder.

Last year at this time we could've thrown Justin Houston into the unsigned third round pick group. He was one of, if not the last draft pick to sign last season.

Tick-tock for Scott Pioli and Dontari Poe...
