Chiefs Single-Game Tickets On Sale For Jackson County Residents

A public service announcement for those of you looking to buy Kansas City Chiefs tickets this year...

Chiefs single-game tickets go on sale today, but only to Jackson County residents. Those who live in the same county as I do can buy single-game tickets starting today while those fancy pants who live in Johnson County (you and your paved roads!) must wait until Wednesday.

Ticket-buying info from the Chiefs is posted after the jump. If you got your tickets today, post a picture of them in the comments. Check out other ticket prices here.

In continuation of the team's long-standing policy, the taxpayers of Jackson County, Mo., will receive first priority to purchase tickets for the 2012 season beginning on Monday, July 16 from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. They are also available during normal Ticket Office hours (8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.) on Tuesday, July 17. Jackson County pre-sale tickets must be purchased in person at the Arrowhead Stadium Ticket Office. No phone orders will be accepted for this special pre-sale event on July 16 - 17.

Jackson County taxpayers purchasing tickets must have one form of identification that includes a photo of the purchaser and a 2011 Jackson County, Mo., personal property tax receipt. Spouses residing at the same address will be allowed to purchase tickets, even if the property receipt is in their spouse's name.

One of the many benefits Chiefs Season Ticket Holders receive is the ability to purchase tickets before they go on sale to the general public. The priority pre-sale event for Chiefs Season Ticket Holders will begin on Monday, July 16 at noon and will continue during normal Ticket Office hours (8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.) on Tuesday, July 17.
