If you were holding out hope that Dwayne Bowe would sign a deal with the Kansas City Chiefs before Monday's deadline then prepare to feel like a disappointed kid on Christmas morning (like the time in the early '90s when I did NOT get the big Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action figure, despite my repeated requests).
Earlier, Jason La Canfora of CBSSports.com reported that the talks between Bowe and the Chiefs "have gone nowhere". As we also explained, the Bowe decision could have a ripple effect on the Chiefs moving forward.
Now another reporter, this time from the four-letter network, predicts deadline day passes without a new contract for Bowe.
RT @mulch10: What about D Bowe? ... Do not expect a long-term deal to be done there by Monday's 4 pm ET deadline.

Doesn't mean Bowe is leaving the Chiefs or anything. The Chiefs still control his rights in 2012, but this makes 2013 more interesting.
