Another long offseason weekend for Kansas City Chiefs fans. The Chiefs players didn't have any OTAs scheduled over the weekend so it's been fairly quiet coming out of One Arrowhead Drive.
The Chiefs will get back at it today as the OTA schedule continues. There is an OTA today (Tuesday) as well as May 31-June 1, which is Thursday and Friday of this week.
This phase of the offseason program is as close to a real practice as we'll see in the offseason. Players are in helmets but not pads. Some team drills are allowed, but no contact can occur.
Per NFL rules, the Chiefs can have no more than three days of OTAs in a week in the first two weeks. In weeks three and four, they can push that to four days. For the Chiefs this is the second week so there are three OTAs this week.
The full OTA and minicamp schedule is below:
OTAs: May 21-22, May 24, May 29, May 31-June 1, June 4-5, June 7-8
Minicamp: May 11-13 (Rookies), June 12-14
