Greetings from LA. It's not even 6:00 a.m. here in Los Angeles.
I made the trip out west for the NFLPA's Rookie Premiere, which is basically the rookies' coming out party. Around 30 of the highest draft picks -- only offensive players, actually -- are here in LA for the weekend and they'll be doing some community work, playing a flag football game, doing their photo shoot for their trading cards and a number of other things.
And I'll be here to check it out all week. (Yes this is my job. Pity me.)
I'll have a tidbit here and there to post on the site but most of my stuff will be posted on SBNation.com.
I got in late last night, forgetting about the time change (two hours). It's still throwing me off a little bit. But I was able to recognize Justin Blackmon when I walked in last night. Weary, tired, dragging my stuff...ooh, there's the 5th overall pick! It was kinda cool.
Anything I need to do or see in LA?
