Chiefs Rookie Devon Wylie Changes Numbers

That didn't last very long.

The Kansas City Chiefs issued numbers to the rookies and we noticed that the Chiefs chose to give fourth round pick Devon Wylie No. 83. That's the same number as Wes Welker and Wylie, a white slot receiver, already gets a lot of those comparisons. We had a post talking about Wylie and that number.

Now this: Wylie just said on Twitter that he has changed numbers. He is now No. 19.

From what I understand, Wylie wanted a different number. He requested a number in the teens but the teams are the ones who ultimately pick the numbers and he got saddled with No. 83 to start.

But that's over. He's now No. 19.
